Lesson 11 of 14 · Part 5 of 5
Five questions on closing and what comes after. Pick an answer to see why it is right or wrong.
Not quite. That is pressure. Pressure leads to cancellations in the free look, and the free look does not fix a bad recommendation.
Right. The client decides whether, and how much. Keeping enough money within reach is part of a sound plan.
Not quite. Show the solution with its costs and limits against each goal. Leaving them out hides what the client must decide.

Right. A direct transfer avoids tax now. A 60-day rollover has strict rules.
Not quite. A check to the client can mean withholding and tax. Never tell a client to withdraw or surrender first.
Not quite. A 1035 exchange moves one annuity into another, or a life policy into an annuity. IRA money moves by transfer or rollover.

Not quite. Not always. Here it reviewed a different product, so its flags did not describe the product the client would buy.
Not quite. It is a preliminary review, and it is no approval. It still has to match the product you will put on the application.
Right. Its flags describe the product it checked. They may not fit the one you will sell. A Fee-based product does not fit a commission agent.

Not quite. Free-look rules vary by state and product, and the clock generally starts at delivery, not at signing.
Right. Walk through it when the contract is delivered. The clock generally runs from delivery, not from the application.
Not quite. Use the carrier's free-look steps and keep proof. Stopping payment or surrendering online is not the way.

Not quite. The next agent, or you in a year, will not know where you stand.
Right. A clear no with its reason is a result. It tells you when and whether to call again.
Not quite. The rate does not say why they said no.
