Call, listen, hold the number

A short call to set a meeting, not to sell. Listen first, and keep the numbers for the meeting.

Do it in Genius

All cases your client GrantAI More Client discovery Call

Practice Client, 3 Nov 2026: Client discovery asks one thing first: Email, Call or In-person. The Call script runs Open, Ask, Close.

Open your clients in Genius (opens the app in a new tab)

In the app: CRM → All cases

  1. 1.

Before you dial, ask GrantAI for a script: Client discovery in the More list, then Call.

The script asks for her exact birth date first. Quotes made without it use an estimated date.

The More list under the GrantAI box: Client discovery is the third of the ready tasks. (opens full size in a new tab)
  2. 2.

Say why you called in one line, then ask what is on their mind about the money. Let them talk.

Came from your website form? Ask what made them fill it in.

  3. 3.

Ask four things: what the money should do, how much, what else they have saved, and when they need income.

Asked about rates? Say it depends on the contract and on the person. You will show figures at the meeting.

  4. 4.

Send Your booking page while the client is on the line. Ask them to pick a time now.

Hours not set yet? Do the part before first. A script may promise a proposal: send your booking page instead. You cannot book for them.

You're done when you listened first, quoted no figure, and sent your booking page before you hung up.
Watch out: Don't quote figures on the phone. A rate that is right today can be different tomorrow. Keep the numbers for the meeting.
