Open your clients in Genius (opens the app in a new tab)

In the app: CRM → All cases

  1. 1.

Before you apply, click More, then Compliance check. Go through each flag, starting with the biggest concern.

Typed-in example: $40,000 outside the IRA and $24,000 for six months of spending.

  2. 2.

Open Qualify, Suitability questionnaire, then Share Link. Send it if the client has not filled it in.

    Suitability
Whether a product fits the client. Most states require you to act in their best interest and record why.

Example: GrantAI flagged the missing questionnaire and asked for a signed one.

  3. 3.

Read the Replacement flag and To clear the case, then save your reason for this product with Save Note.

Example: To clear the case said: confirm the client knows the payout rate is not a return.

  4. 4.

Check your license and the insurer's appointment under Licenses & Appt. in the profile menu.

    Appointment
The insurer's state filing that lets a producer with a license act for it. State and insurer limits still apply.

Add your National Producer Number there. Genius uses it to pull your state licenses and carrier appointments.

You're done when the flags are read, the questionnaire is signed and your reason and comparison are on file.
Watch out: Compliance check is a preliminary review. It is not a full best-interest determination, and it does not replace your carrier's or IMO's review. In the Practice Client example it checked a Fee-based product, not the Navigator pick. On commission, check the one you will sell. Tax and legal questions go to a tax adviser or an attorney. Investment questions go to a securities professional with the right license and the firm's approval. A variable annuity sale must go through the authorized broker-dealer and a registered representative.
