Confirm the facts before you show anything

Start with the client, not the screen. The proposal stays closed until the facts are confirmed and on record.

Do it in Genius

All cases your client pencil Update Client

Practice Client, 3 Nov 2026: the card shows 66, Texas, $150,000 IRA, income from 68 and the goal Generate Income.

Rates change every day, so yours will differ.

Open your clients in Genius (opens the app in a new tab)

In the app: CRM → All cases

  1. 1.

Say you sell insurance and how you are paid. Ask: "What would you like to get out of today?" Write down every word.

Type their words in the note: Add important information about the client, then Save Note.

  2. 2.

Read their facts and goal back from the card, then the problem in their numbers. Ask: "Is that right?"

Example problem: $4,000 spending minus $1,900 Social Security is a $2,100 gap a month.

  3. 3.

Missing facts? Fill them as in the fact-find, then read them back.

  4. 4.

Wrong fact? Click the pencil on the card, fix it, then Update Client.

In a test the card showed the new amount, but Preview still showed $150,000.

You're done when the facts are confirmed and on record. The client has told you in their own words what the money is for.
Watch out: After you fix a fact, the proposal keeps the old numbers. Make a new one before you show it.
